Silicone Takes Center.

Lube. Before I knew of its unsung secrets, it was elusive to me. Extreme. Slightly embarrassing. I had stories like, “Oh, shouldn’t I be wet enough to take that? … Does needing lube mean I’m not turned on?” and so forth.

And even once I started using lube (discovering that I could indeed still be turned on, royally so, AND needing some extra lubrication, especially when marathon-ing or playing with toys…) I was never that impressed with the varieties that came my way.

They were all right but I found that the water-based ones, while definitely increasing moisture, and working well with latex condoms, always left me covered in sticky residue. I even tried an all-organic one, with homeopathic ingredients promoting natural personal lubrication.

Then… I was gifted with a glorious revelation: Enter silicone lube. Stage right. Cross to center. Stay there. Spotlight. That’s correct. The curtain has come up on an entirely new lube experience. And let me tell you, darlings, there’s no going back on this one.

From USA company Empowered Products, come two distinctly different, yet equally fabulous lube products. Both are silicone based, so work well with bodies, condoms, and toys. (Just beware of using silicone lube on low-quality silicone toys, if you’re not covering them with condoms first.)

Both lines of silicone lube also come in a variety of bottle sizes, to meet your bedside or travel needs. You can pick up either of these silicone lubes at Fascinations

Pink Silicone Lubricant for WomenPink, marketed as a silicone lubricant for women with its cute pink packaging, and extra moisturizing and healing ingredients like aloe and Vitamin E, was the first lube I tried.

I loved the pump top (a necessary feature!) and discreet bottle size, complete with an easy snap-on lid, to make stashing it in my purse a favorable and easy option.

(It also comes in a tasteful, elegant glass bottle that can be left out on your dresser or nightstand & looks just like a bottle of perfume! Check it out!)

Odorless, tasteless, and clear as this liquid lubricant may be, the FEEL of Pink dripping into my pussy, was anything but. Compared to the standard water-based lubricant we had been using, this was like discovering dark rich Dagoba chocolate, when all you’d ever had was M&Ms.

It was luscious, light and silky, all at the same time, provoking an immediate “oooohhhhh” and “aahhhh” response from my partner and I upon intimate contact. It took approximately 15 seconds for my partner to suggest that this would be a fabulous ingredient for anal play, but the details of his plan we lost to me as I arched against him, reveling in the feel of every inch of him gliding in and out of me. He’d have to bring up the topic of my ass again later. Something he’s fond of talking about, anyway…

Coming in a larger, thicker bottle packaging than PinkGun Oil was definitely more of a gym bag rather than purse option. (Or, if you’re like me, and carry a purse that sometimes does resemble a duffle bag, then you’re fine.) All of the marketing is definitely geared towards an overly hyped, objectifying version of masculinity. While my partner and I were not explicitly fond of the military undertones, we couldn’t argue that with the use of this product, his gun was… well-oiled.

And with a lube actually containing no oil at all, we were pleasantly shocked at the buttery, velvety smooth feel of the whole ride. With its hypo-allergenic formula, and those ingredients like aloe vera and vitamin E that worked so well with Pink, we additionally found that a little Gun Oil went a long way, and was less likely to dry out mid-round, which actually kept us reaching for Gun Oil over our other lubes again, and again, and again.

Bravo! Bravo! Encore!! blackout.
