Multiply Your Luck with the Lucky 13!

Lucky 13 is one of the plethora of vibrators offered by MyPleasure. All too often I find myself falling into my comfort-zone of tried and true colors with pleasure objects, but getting something that stands out has proven to be an extra-special treat. (And besides, I’ve noticed that it’s a lot easier to find a quirky color amidst all of my other toys. Hooray for being able to pick it out in a crowd!)

Lucky 13 is a thick, rumbly vibrator with the sweetest touches of texture and decoration. Kudos to the design-team! The raised bands that curl around the shaft with evenly-spaced nubs remind me of some exotic sea creature. On the back, the top band splits into two and comes down in v-shape to connect up with the bottom band. Nonetheless, the majority of insertable surface area of this vibrator is silky smooth. When I first removed it from its packaging, I wasn’t quite sure about the girth of this vibe (would it be too much?), or the texture (which looks a bit sparse for a texture-slut like me).

I did immediately note, however, that the Lucky 13 is decently weighted. Although we all have our own preferences, I adore a toy with enough weight to let me know that it’s there. I’ve found that toys with some substance to them are less likely to flop or slip around even in the juices of arousal or the slippery grip of lube-covered hands. They’re easier for me to guide and direct exactly where I want them, and they tend to stay-put, as well, which makes them great for targeting specific erogenous zones, whether external (like the clit) or internal (like the G-spot).

That said, of its 8 inches in length, 5 are functionally insertable, and the Lucky 13 measures in with a girth just under 5.5 inches. That gives it a width of 1.75 inches, by the by. It has a slightly curved tip, and if you can handle the girth of this vibe, the silicone proves both flexible and firm enough for G-spotting.

You’ll need to pop in two AA batteries to give Lucky 13 some juice, and that’s when this vibe really comes alive. I had completely underestimated the power of this silicone beauty (with ABS plastic handle) by Evolved Novelties. It is controlled by a multi-speed spin-dial (or, wheel) that rests in the plastic base and is part of their Roulette line. To turn it on, spin the wheel away from your body (if it is positioned to be inserted) and relish in the sensations that wash over you. It ranges from a whisper-quiet tickle to a holy-fuck-I’m-gonna-cum-right-now strength, and you have your choice, also, of a number of speeds in-between those two. Ah, the joys of true a multi-speed vibe.

I expected to use it in tandem with a powerhouse like the Hitachi Magic Wand, but I soon learned that additional power was completly superfluous. The vibrations are deep and rumbly, as I mentioned before, and the majority of vibration is focused in the top half of the insertable silicone shaft. They transmit exceptionally well inside of you or a partner. The power multiplies exponentially in the tip, so much so that just writing about it is making me begin to gush.

Yet, the motor is incredibly quiet for the strength the Lucky 13 delivers, Lovelies. I find it nearly impossible to hear through a blanket, and if you’re behind a closed door, you can be completely discreet with your pleasure romps… as long as you don’t moan too loudly, that is!

The Lucky 13 is strictly a multi-speed vibrator, and it doesn’t have patterns of vibration. I’m happy to report that I did not miss the pulsatronic patterns of vibration even a tiny bit. I tend to be a power gal, though, and I want my sensation constant, intense, and unyielding -or- soft, tantalizing, and unyielding. With this baby, I can have either. Or both.

After the first handful of sheet-drenching squirting orgams where I found myself barely able to catch my breath, ready to float away in my own juices, I didn’t think that the Lucky 13 could get any luckier. I tend to enjoy bathtime with toys more than showertime with toys, and all of the vibes in the Roulette line by Evolved are definitely waterproof (not just splashproof), so you can tote them happily into the tub (and be liberal with water when cleaning, too)!

Through the water, the Lucky 13 felt as if it could have been a completely different toy. I found myself even more grateful for the focused vibrations in the tip, and glad that they weren’t evenly dispersed (and thereby weakened) throughout the shaft. This is one of those vibrators that makes bathtime all-the-more enticing, and definitely motivates you to create space in your schedule, no matter how hectic, for some quality me-time.

Fashioned from quality European silicone and all European parts, the Lucky 13 is odorless, hypo-allergenic, phthalate-free, body-safe, entirely non-porous and compatible with water-based lubricant. It cleans up easily with soap and warm water (use a soft toothbrush to clean the textured areas thoroughly) or your favorite universal sex toy cleaner.
